Job Description:
Position: Payroll Technician
From October 2024 - December 2025 with possibility to extend
Top Skills:
Working knowledge of Kronos Telestaff, Dimension/Workforce Manager (WFM), and similar UKG products highly preferred.
Experience working in a highly structured payroll environment where reasoning skills are valued, and have a thorough understanding of military time
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and Power Point)
High level of organizational skills
Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos/Telestaff or other similar payroll software
Experience with preparing, calculating and inputting specialty and exception pay - including shift differential, overtime emergency call back, acting pay, specialized unit, and other pay as required
Experience with analyzing reports for adjustments and errors, including validation reports, and variance reports
Ability to perform research and analyze governing rules, regulations, and contracts that apply to police payroll situations
Interviews: In-person
Working hours will be 40hrs/week, M-F in office 9am-5pm, remote availability based on manager discretion.
