Job Description
The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 7 to 10 years of enterprise-level experience to manage and maintain SQL database systems for a 6-month contract engagement. The role involves ensuring database performance, availability, and security while supporting critical business applications in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support business applications.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches and upgrades as required.
- Ensure data integrity and security through proper measures and protocols.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
- Optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for database support.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience as a SQL DBA in an enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures.
- Understanding of data security and encryption methods.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in the casino or gaming industry is a plus.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
- Familiarity with other database systems like Oracle or MySQL.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- SQL Server or related certifications.
