Exterior Service Technician for Exterior Home Improvement Leader

Roofing, Solar, Siding, Doors, and Windows. We provide high-quality and technologically advanced improvements for homes and businesses.

We are a reputable residential and commercial contractor established in 2007 that is consistently growing. 

We are hiring experienced roofing service techs to continue the growth of our team and company. 

 

We are in Northern IL and service the entire region. We offer great pay, overtime, and weekend hours, we work all year around, advancement opportunities, safety training, safety gear, uniforms, etc. 

Job Description: Roofing service technicians are responsible for assembling roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, metal panels, and wood shingles into a watertight system. These types of products are typically assembled into a hydrokinetic roof system which is capable of shedding water from the roof system.

 

Key Results Area 1 – Repair Work

Performance Standards: 

• Perform all work in accordance to proposal, budget, safety standards, injury-free and without OSHA violations.
• Show up to work site on time and in company uniform (hoodie/shirt), prepared with all materials and equipment to complete the work without needless delay. Meet with client to review work to be performed and set expectation of payment at completion.
• Install Yard Sign to promote business
• Perform Repair work to the highest standards and communicate to manager that work performed will correct the problem identified.
• If work identified does not appear to the correct the problem, contact manager with possible alternative scopes of work to correct the problem identified. Sell Change order for additional work, sales rep/ manager to approve price.
• Meet with client once work is completed to confirm they are satisfied and collect payment.
• Take pictures of all completion projects- send over to production team to upload to server

 

Key Results Area 2 – Warranty Repairs

Performance Standards:

• Identify problem and determine with the assistance of the operations manager and sales person if this work is included within our warranty.
• If it is warranty work, determine the scope of work, get approval from operations manager and perform the work that will correct the problem as efficiently as possible.
• If it is not warranty work, ask the client for approval to provide them a written proposal to correct the problem.
• Determine work scope, develop price with the operations manager and sell work to homeowner.
• Refer to KRA No. 1.

 

Key Results Area 3 – Selling Repairs

Performance Standards:

• Meet client on time and develop a working relationship with client.
• Identify roofing problems and record accurate survey of the roofing system
• Develop scope of work with pricing to provide long-term solution to problems. Management to assist with pricing and proposal process.
• Meet with client to get approval of proposal. 
• Refer to KRA No. 1

Key Results Area 4 – Sell and Install Solar

Performance Standards:

• Meet client on time and develop a working relationship with client.
• Identify and record accurate survey of the roofing system, for solar.
• Develop scope of work with pricing to provide long-term solution to problems.
• Management to assist with pricing and proposal process.
• Refer to KRA No. 1
