The Department of Movement Sciences is searching for a promotable, non-tenure track clinical assistant or associate professor (commensurate with experience) to participate in the Athletic Training Programs. Rank is negotiable based on how the candidate meets the criteria outlined in department and college bylaws. We are searching for a candidate who has a desire to utilize their strengths to enhance delivery of program content, lead research projects, mentor graduate students in patient-care research, and support the delivery of curriculum in the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) and Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) programs. The advertised position is an existing, open-line and the selected candidate will join four full-time faculty and program-dedicated staff (i.e., teaching assistants and program specialists) to help grow the innovative AT Programs. The primary responsibilities of this position will involve scholarship and teaching (including separately contracted, summer teaching which is not included in base salary), and administrative duties (e.g., assist with accreditation, program assessment, etc.) within the programs. The position may also include academic release time to support administration, recruitment, engagement, and retention for both programs. The selected candidate will teach professional and post-professional athletic training education courses, and the focus may be in one or more of the following areas: prevention/acute care of injury and illness, immediate and emergency care, therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, clinical scholarship, or clinical education/experience. The successful candidates will primarily advise and mentor graduate students in the MSAT and DAT programs and serve on department, college, and university committees.
